  • 09/14/18 City Matters: Proposed plans for Queen Street buildings set “new expectation” for urban design in Kingston

In the City of Kingston's recently released City Matters newsletter, an update was provided on the first of the new North Block developments:

“The revised plans for these two proposed mixed-use buildings embrace a modern building form that defines a new expectation with respect to urban design, place-making and architectural excellence,” says Paige Agnew, director, building, planning and licensing.

The plans for two proposed Queen Street buildings represent months of technical negotiations between City staff and Homestead Land Holdings Limited undertaken as part of settlement negotiations on an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.

Find out more about the proposed buildings in the full City Matters publication online.
